The boat launch area at Deep Creek Lake State Park is open 24 hours a day weather permitting. Overnight slip use is available only to DCL State Park campers on a first come, first serve basis. If you have a boat this is a great spot to be. I'm sure with better weather the little beaches they have would have been nicer, but unfortunately it was a little chilly and raining for us. They have a bunch of play grounds all around the path and a discovery center which is really cool. Filled with touch and feel things and live animals that are great for the kids to see. They also have an bald eagle and some hawks at the discovery center too.

Nice hiking trails. Could be marked a bit better. Clean and lots of friendly people. Restroom facilities at the trailhead

This lake is great for water sports. I'm a wilderness guy. This was too much of a tourist area for me. Hard to see the water for the boats on the lake.

Excellent place for adventures, hiking, boating, biking even some dirt roads for off reading. Best season to visit is from around March to October to enjoy the full green and wild nature. Only bothering thing is the lack of trash cans throughout the park.
