Metamora-Hadley Recreation Area consists of 723 acres with 80-acre Lake Minnewanna in the center Campers, hikers, boaters, anglers, hunters, cross-country skiers and others enjoy a wide variety recreational opportunities throughout the year. The park has a universally accessible fishing pier.

Cross-Country Skiing: More than six miles of marked trails meander through the woods and fields of the park Trails are not groomed.

Boat Rental:
Row boats, kayaks and canoes can be rented at the Metamora-Hadley Campground Store and Beach Concession between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Reservations available and special group services are offered.

All boats, including kayaks, can be rented for $10 per hour. Canoes and row boats can be rented for $25 per four hours or $40 for the day. A $20 deposit and driver's license are required at time of rental. For more details, call the concession at 810-797-2300.

Fishing

Hiking: The hiker will find more than six miles of marked hiking trails that meander through the woods and fields of the park.

Hunting: Over two-thirds of the park is available for hunting. The park offers the hunter a chance at taking both small and large game. Maps showing areas open to hunting should be obtained at the park headquarters.

Facilities

Beach: Offers an ADA compliant concrete walkway from the concession stand to the beach and a Stab Mat from the walkway across the beach down to the water.

Picnic Area: The day-use area consists of a marked swimming area, concession, parking lot with 400 parking spaces and a picnic shelter.
