Moreau Lake State Park

605 Old Saratoga Road
518-793-0511

Moreau Lake State Park's lake lies amid hardwood forests, pine stands and rocky ridges. Shady groves of trees shelter picnic grounds and a pavilion overlooking the lake. Wooded campgrounds are quiet and secluded, offering facilities for group campers, as well as tent and trailer sites. Two pavilions, each with a 120-person capacity and a 20'x30' tent which can accommodate up to 75 people, may be reserved on a daily basis. The sandy beach, nature, hiking and cross-country ski trails, opportunities for boating, fishing and ice fishing, and proximity to the Saratoga Springs and Lake George areas make the park attractive to visitors.

Great place for a family picnic. Every year for the last 6 years my husband and I, and his family have gone here for the fourth of July. We get there at 8 am when they open. Decent prices and a beautiful place to get away from the city. It's peaceful and pretty. You can read, swim, cook, go for walks, etc. I recommend this place for holidays with the spring, summer and fall. We've actually had the same exact spot every single yesterday when we go. Refreshing and breathtaking.

Nice State Park to visit. I come to fish both summer and winter. Pretty clean. Super friendly staff. I think the campground gets very crowded during the summer. Not a lot of fisherman though.

This is a popular State Park for camping and day-use. It’s the perfect spot for families with young children. It has a nice beach with lifeguards and a playground with plenty of picnic tables and grills.

Great state park with camping, hiking, mountain biking and swimming. The sand beach is nice and there are many picnic tables. The mountain biking trails are very difficult with a lot of climbing. Trailer maps are available at the park entrance. The trail intersections are marked pretty well, but don't go out on the trails without a map because it is very easy to get lost.

Pretty lake in the fall. The hike is fairly mild and the views are nice. Probably a nice place for a date.
