It's an ideal setting for outdoor visits, whether your interest is hunting, fishing, camping, boating, picnicking, hiking or bird watching. The park is surrounded by luxuriantly forested gullies and scenic crests alive with wild roses, black-eyed Susans, white false indigo and snapdragons.

I love this place. The campground is quiet. The lake does not allow outboard motors so it is quiet and serene. You are able to sit and enjoy the lake from shore or canoe/kayak without the incessant harassing din of motorboat. Shady areas to rest. Lots of trails that are well maintained. Fishing is allowed but no swimming.

Beautiful State Park! My daughter and I had a blast hiking in the woods around the lake. Signs are easy to follow to get where you want around the park. Maps are also available at the entrance. Great place for camping and hiking!
